Gas stoves can experience issues such as gas burner won’t light, burner flames are too weak, gas odor. Don’t hesitate to call us as gas burners can become hazardous when releasing gas and you are unaware of or even explode if not properly maintained and be life-threatening. Electrical stoves on the other hand may have electrical coil’s that won’t heat up, the unit keeps clicking, won’t turn on, indicator lights don’t turn on. Electric range may have issues such as not turning on, top burners won’t light or gas range that won’t bake.

Common Stove and Range Issues:

  • Gas burner won’t light

  • Electrical coil’s won’t heat up

  • Gas burner flames are too weak

  • Electrical stove won’t turn on

  • Indicator lights won’t light up

  • Range won’t bake

Common Causes:

The most common cause for a gas burner that won’t ignite is due to debris blocking gas flow to the igniter.

If one of your electrical stove’s top burner won’t heat up, it could be because of a bad burner, bad connection in the  burner socket, or a faulty switch.

For gas burners with weak flames the cause could be a misaligned burner cap, clogged burner head, clogged gas valve or control valve is faulty.

An electrical stove that won’t turn on is likely from a tripped breaker or blown fuse.

For indicator lights that won’t turn on the likely cause is the bulb that needs to be replaced

For a range that won’t bake the bake element might be burnt out or the control board isn’t supplying the voltage needed to heat the element.
